Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 31st from 3 to 7 pm in the Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home 262 Beach St. Revere for Robert L. “Bob” LaRossa, Jr. who died unexpectedly on Monday, July 18th at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, due to complications after surgery, he was 59 years old. A funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 7:15 pm.
Bob was born in Weymouth and was raised & educated in Whitman & East Bridgewater. He was an alumnus of East Bridgewater High School Class of 1982. Bob was a man that was known for being very caring & having a huge heart, he became a CNA, which was a great fit for his personality. He worked at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for many years. Recently he worked for the Revere Schools Transportation Department. He married the love of his life, Beth (Waldman) on September 21, 1991. The young couple moved to Revere and settled in the Point of Pines section of Revere. He was a loving and proud father of his two sons. He cherished his family and family time. He was also an avid lover of the beach & ocean. He was widely known to many of his friends, family & extended family as the “life of the party”. His selfless persona was well known by all of his neighbors & friends who witnessed how he was always there to lend a hand in any way he could. His legacy will always be that he was one special man who wanted to make a difference.
He is the beloved husband of 31 years to Beth L. (Waldman) LaRossa of Point of Pines, Revere. The loving father of Alex L. LaRossa of Revere & his fiancé Nia DePina of Milton, & Joshua D. LaRossa & his significant other Amanda Bloom of Milford, NH. The cherished son of Virginia (Rowan) LaRossa & her late husband Robert L. LaRossa, Sr. of Hobe Sound, FL. The cherished brother of Linda Griffin & husband Thomas of Whitman, Julie LaRossa of Tewksbury, & Steven LaRossa & wife Kara of Braintree. The dear son in law of Joel & Patricia “Pat” Waldman of Marblehead. The special brother in law of Cindy Girard & her late husband John of Groveland and Linda Pepple & husband Robert of Saugus. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
