St. Mary's and Revere has lost a good soul. Hard to imagine it has been nearly 10 years since Our Lady of Grace and St. Mary's merged Mass schedules and our 4pm moved to SMA. My mom and I felt out of place for the first 4pm. We didn't know where to sit, not wanting to intrude. As time went by we were welcomed more and more warmly. One of the first people to welcome us in was Fran Rega, a Eucharistic Minister who sat in the last row every week with our friends Phyllis and Cathy. Fran was a huge BC Eagles fan and football season ticket holder. Every week at I looked forward to chatting about BC and Holy Cross football and seeing how here handsome dog Bentley was doing. My mom and Fran grew quite close over the years, even driving her to church as her body fought valiantly against cancer. We lost a real good one today, but heaven gained an incredible soul. As in BC's fight song, "for here all are one and our hearts are true..." Fran you welcomed everyone with such a good heart. Rest in peace.

Fran was very special. We spent many times with her and Auntie Marie & Uncle Leo. Always a lot of laughs. She was always there for Frank William & Matthew. There is never a Christmas that goes by when I pull out all my Christmas dishes & platters and smile because of her! Fran you will be truly missed. I am glad you are with Auntie Marie & Uncle Leo
We love you,
Frankie, Marie, Frank William & Matthew💗

As a neighbor of Fran I will miss her and her dog pass my driveway and the simple chats we had about the day, dogs and recent news events. I also remember the care she took for her mother. I will miss you Fran my casual friend. I am happy you are in a better place now without pain.

So very sad to have heard of Fran's demise. She was such a terrific person. Knew each other from RHS 1968. Fran had my daughter in class at the Beachmont School and again at Revere High..Fran was so family oriented and just a wonderful person..May she rest in peace...she suffers no more. AnneMarie Croce

I was fortunate enough to have Ms. Rega as an English teacher twice. Once in middle school and once in high school. She was an extremely passionate educator who cared about her students both inside and outside of the classroom. Fast forward 20 years, I frequently saw her walk her dog and she always stopped to ask how I was-still so kind and genuine. She will be someone I will never forget. Rest in the sweetest peace Ms. Rega Love and Sincerity, Nikki Sao Pedro
